AUSkey - Single secure sign-on
AUSkey - Your single, secure key for business-to-government online reporting services is now available for use in conjunction with SBR-enabled software.
Using SBR-enabled accounting/payroll software will save Australian businesses time and money preparing and lodging
forms directly from their software to government agencies.
AUSkey is the new single secure sign-on, or common authentication system, for government online services.
AUSkey provides businesses and reporting professionals with a single credential (e.g. user ids, PIN/passwords, digital certificates) for interacting with government rather than maintaining separate credentials for each agency interaction.
AUSkey has been designed and developed in consultation with businesses, their intermediaries, government agencies and software developers. It will be common to all agencies participating in SBR, and will balance the useability and convenience with the security businesses expect from online authentication system.
While businesses and reporting professionals will be directed to registration facilities by their software, or the login screen of the online service they are trying to access, there is also a link to the credential’s website from the Australian Business Register.
