International Forum

The SBR International Forum was established in 2007 to share knowledge about SBR among countries interested in implementing the methodology. The Forum is jointly chaired by Australia’s SBR Program Director, and the Netherlands Director of the SBR Program. Australia is one of the lead countries with SBR, and will launch its multi-agency implementation in July 2010.

On 26–27 October 2009 officials from Singapore, Australia, Netherlands and New Zealand, along with representatives of the software development community and several major accounting firms, met at the SBR International Forum in Singapore.

The agenda included a stream on governance and management, including credit risk reporting, change management, voluntary compliance and interaction with other international processes, such as the International Financial Reporting Standards.

The technical stream considered the SBR taxonomy, or dictionary of reporting terms, as well as quality assurance, architectures, and specifications for XBRL, which is the international business language that SBR uses for its taxonomy.
