SBR Business Advisory Forum

Overview

The Business Advisory Forum helps SBR stay in touch with the needs of Australian businesses and their intermediaries. The Forum provides input into SBR design, consultation, marketing and strategy implementation. Comprising representatives from industry groups and professional associations, the Business Advisory Forum sets and enhances public perceptions of the program, and communicates SBR direction and outcomes to the businesses and intermediaries they represent.

The Business Advisory Forum Chair is Dr Peter Burn, of the Australian Industry Group.

Terms of Reference

  1. To set and enhance and positively communicate the outcomes and public perceptions of the program.
  2. To act as a "reality check" on SBR by considering, and advising the SBR Board and/or Program Office about:
    1. key messages for specific audiences,  communications strategies and approaches, outcomes,  implementation plans and strategies,  user testing approaches and feedback 
    2. suggestions of options to enhance/modify program initiatives that will increase or better communicate end-user benefits  and
    3. any design issues or matters of relevance that need to be drawn to the program's attention.
  3. To communicate SBR plans, strategies, outcomes and activities to the businesses and intermediaries represented by the Business Advisory Forum.

Meeting frequency

The Business Advisory Forum will meet formally twice a year, with much of its business conducted out-of-session.
