Disclaimer
This Standard Business Reporting Cycle 1 prototype taxonomy and supporting materials are provided by SBR for the purposes of demonstration and obtaining feedback. All of the material provided here is as a prototype, or “proof of concept” and is being given by way of example only. As such it is not exhaustive and does not necessarily reflect the further planned development of the SBR Program or future policy intentions in relation to XBRL. The Cycle 1 prototype taxonomy should not be relied upon by users as duplicating the terms of the final SBR Taxonomy. The contents of the SBR Taxonomy are subject to changes following the receipt of feedback and undertaking further development work.
The need for, and selection of XBRL tools is a matter for you to determine. The Commonwealth does not recommend, endorse or prefer any XBRL tool or product for use in relation to SBR, either to its agencies, or to industry or other interested parties.
Users are also referred to the general disclaimer for this website.

The following information is provided to give you detail about what you can download from this release of the SBR prototype taxonomy. It also describes some extra information in addition to what has already provided in the navigation instructions.

Instructions for downloading XBRL software
To view the Taxonomy in other than PDF format, it is necessary to use/download an XBRL viewing tool. A selection of XBRL viewing tools are available on the internet at sites such as: XBRL Australia. If you experience any difficulties using/downloading an XBRL viewing tool, please contact the relevant vendor.
Instructions for viewing the XBRL Taxonomy
After downloading and installing the required XBRL Taxonomy viewing software, follow the instructions that came with the software on how to open the Taxonomy in the Taxonomy viewing tool.
Generally speaking, after starting the software, the XBRL Taxonomy can be opened by selecting "Open" from the "File" menu. Some tools may have a sub-menu from the "Open" menu for loading either an XBRL Instance Document or an XBRL Taxonomy. Select the option for the XBRL Taxonomy. Depending on the viewing tool that was downloaded, some tools will process and validate the taxonomy files before display and other tools will simply load and display the taxonomy.
Depending on your specific information requirements, there are four core master taxonomy files available on the SBR web site to be downloaded. These taxonomy files are compressed into zipped-files for ease of download and smaller file size. The list of the four zipped files is as follows. Explanation of the meaning and usage of each file can be found in the navigation instructions.
Once you have downloaded and unzipped the files, you can save a copy of these files in your computer.
In addition to downloading these zipped files, there are a number of supplementary files you can access in the SBR web site. These supplementary files are mainly in graphical format and their purpose is to depict the relationship among different components in the taxonomy (eg. Schema, Linkbase, Reference, Instances) as well as other supplementary information. The list of supplementary files is as follows:
